Terms

Terms of use

By creating an account or using Amortimize, you agree to these terms. They exist to be clear, not to trap you.

1. What Amortimize is

Amortimize is an educational tool that reconstructs a home loan from the terms and change events you enter and shows estimated balances, interest, and projections. It is not a lender, broker, adviser, or agent, and it does not originate, service, or transact on any loan.

2. Not financial advice

Nothing in Amortimize is financial, tax, legal, or investment advice, or a recommendation to take or avoid any action with your loan. You are responsible for your own decisions. For advice, consult a qualified professional or your bank. See the legal disclaimers.

3. Estimates, not statements of account

All figures are estimates computed from what you enter. They may differ from your bank's figures because of day-count conventions, rounding, fees, timing, or terms not captured here. Amortimize is not a statement of account and must not be relied on as one. Verify every figure with your bank before acting.

4. Your account and your data

You must be 18 or older to use Amortimize and you are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure. You agree to enter only your own loan information, and not to enter bank credentials, account numbers, or lender identities — the tool neither needs nor wants them.

You keep all rights to the data you enter. How it is stored, protected, and deleted is described in the privacy notice. You can export or delete your data at any time from Settings.

5. Acceptable use

Use Amortimize for your own personal, non-commercial loan planning. Do not attempt to disrupt, reverse-engineer, overload, or gain unauthorized access to the service or to other users' data, and do not use it in violation of any applicable law.

6. Availability and changes

Amortimize is a proof of concept provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. It may change, pause, or be withdrawn at any time, and features are not guaranteed. We may update these terms; continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.

7. No warranty; limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Amortimize is provided without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose, or uninterrupted availability. To the fullest extent permitted by law, the people who make Amortimize are not liable for any loss arising from your use of it or from decisions made in reliance on its estimates.

8. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India, and are intended for users in India at this stage.

This is a proof-of-concept document and has not undergone formal legal review; a lawyer should review it before any public launch or monetization.
